If you are first time mommy or this isn’t your first baby, can we agree that once you have a little one you realize how valuable your time is? And when it comes to your makeup routine we just don’t have the time to spend more than the necessary.
Insert- your ideal and customized 5 minute makeup routine.
Even though my little ones are not so little any more, I love having a quick and efficient makeup routine that no joke takes me five short minutes.
For my everyday, I need a quick go to that makes me feel beautiful and put together and not spend more time than I need to.
It all starts with having the right products and tools, and if youre not sure if you have the right stuff, then I would love to show you what you need and show you how to utilize them.
It all starts from your skin care, depending on your skin type and texture, having the right skin care regimen will actually help in minimizing your makeup routine.
You then need to focus on your base, depending if you have texture, redness, inflamation, or even breakouts, choose a product that needs minimal application-my personal favorite is using creams for everything.
Cream makeup blends into your skin and application is done easily with your fingers or a brush.
Then comes bronzing and blush, again, cream makeup is so easy to use. Just apply your bronzer where the sun normally touches your face which is typicall top of your forehead and the high of your cheekbones.
Your blush should compliment your skintone. For fair skin, use a pinks and peach tones. Medium tones look best in rosy pinks and mauve tones and for deeper skin tones use berry and plum shades.
Apply your blush on the apple of your cheeks and blend upwards. If you’re not sure where that is, simply smile and apply on the roundness of your cheeks.
Next comes your eyes.
The easiest and most flattering is a really good mascara. Apply it on both top and bottom of your upper lash- yes that means look down and shimmy your mascara on top of your lashes then go below and apply two coats.
Let’s move on to your brows- pencils are easiest, simply draw a line underneath your brow line then simply do small brush strokes upward and blend with a spooly.
Last but not least is lips, I personally love a natural pink for my lips during the Spring and Summer months and love to change to a liquid lipstick in a taupe color for Fall/Winter.
There you have it! An easy and beautiful routine that will make you feel amazing, put together and feel like yourself and still have plenty of time to do everything you need to do on your day.
